Decisions. In the story Of Mice and Men, George one of the main protagonist, makes a daring decision to kill his best friend for the best of things. George and Lennie have faced many outcomes that lead to problems in their relationship, and George must take the initiative to make what 's best for the both of them. George makes the best decision to kill Lennie. George cares too much for Lennie to have him suffer anymore, so George won 't have to protect Lennie, and won’t have to disappoint anyone. Has George made the right decision to put Lennie out of his misery so he wouldn 't have to suffer anymore. Lennie becomes increasingly worried whenever he does something wrong thus him believing that his dream of living on a farm and tend the rabbits would not happen. ‘“Ain’t you gonna give me hell…”’(103). Illustrating an example of the scene where Lennie kills the dog, “‘Why do you got to get killed?...George ain’t gonna let me tend no rabbits…”’ (85). Lennie believes if George finds out he killed the dog he won’t be able to tend the rabbits. It’s self evident that Lennie doesn’t want to disappoint George therefore Lennie will try any mends mean to fix the situation. During the fix Curley’s wife comes which put the outcome differently that lead to one and final decision. Speaking of Curley’s wife coming in during one scene, “‘George gonna say I done a bad thing...You gonna get me in trouble jus’ like George says you will…”’ (91). Lennie doesn’t want George to bring up another wrong thing Lennie died thus the disappointment from George. In this situation Lennie knows he has done another bad thing and knows George will be mad so he resorts to hiding in the brush until he comes fearing the disappointment.
