In recent discussions of George Orwell 1984 a controversial issue has been whether our world is headed to a world of technology. George Orwell predicted that by the year 1984 we will be living with technology and will be a way of life.
It starts small with propaganda selling you things like phones or computers not for you to believe it’s a luxury, but to make you believe you need it. “We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness (Orwell 124).” This means that there is a place for everyone where everything is perfect and there is nothing bad that can hurt you again. I can relate to this because I use technology but I try my best to interact with the world and my friends and family. Also a call to action instead of staying at home to watch TV go out with friends even if you don’t have money to buy another go window shopping don’t stay stuck on a brain washing machine. “Reality exists in the human mind and nowhere else (Orwell 153).” This means people only see their own reality through your own mind and no one else can understand it but themselves. I believe in a lot of things and thinking this world is now technology based is correct we use it every day there’s no going back only advancing it to perfect a better future. I have a big imagination and I like to make scenarios were different things happen then what really went down sometimes I can only get one outcome others it’s more. I have my own world of wonders where everything is pain free and you will never be told to anything you don’t want to do. Everyone has their own world and your mind to hide from the darkness of this bad world a place that’s peaceful. Everything of beliefs has to do with every individual own mind no one no matter how many agree with you on things has the same mind set as you do be
