Analysis Of Fresh Bait By Sherryl Clark

Improved Essays
Fresh Bait by Sherryl Clark is a short story regards a High School teacher that journeys to the Australians Outback in an attempt to find the killer of a university student called Melanie. Melanie was hitchhiking when she was killed by an unknown killer. The young man journeys to the Australians Outback to find the killer.
The main protagonist in Fresh Bait is young man. Through the story the young man’s name and gender is never revealed. However I assumed that the main character was a man because during the ride to Euroa the two characters talk in a casual form. For example “done yourself some damage, Just a slight sprain”. Some characteristics of this character include young, intelligent, self-conscious and brave.

This science fair idea was interesting because of the way that bass react to the different types of lures and the effect of different topwater lures. The bass reacted by striking the bigger lures harder and more often, and because the lure acts like the bass food. This happens because of the different movement each lure gives. The point of this experiment is to find out how different sizes of bass will react to different sizes and movements of top water baits. A topwater lure is something that people mainly use for catching large and smallmouth bass.…

SeaWorld is a multi-million dollar corporation that serves as home for 23 of arguably some of the oceans’ most beautiful creatures. Blackfish is trying to change that with a very captivating argument. Although emotionally compelling, Blackfish is an invalid argument against captivity, It offers a solution and demonstrates practicality, which makes it an argument of policy. However, it is not a valid one, for it lacks a strong and reliable foundation of evidence to support its reasoning for the solution it demands. Blackfish presents former trainers and scientific representatives who present facts about SeaWorld, as well as scientific claims that object to captivity.…
