Before World War II schools, were teaching children how to respond to air raid sirens. They went over drill over drill, which was an example of their fear from. People built bomb shelters, stock piled canned goods so they could have something to live off of, and they had gas masks even for babies. Today we don’t do things like that because there really isn’t anything that could save us, from the new threat of nuclear war. Another big difference is what I was talking about earlier the attack on our home ground is more apparent. The smaller attacks are more wide spread throughout the country.
