Analysis Of First Date-Hyundai Commercial

The commercial I chose is “First Date - Hyundai Super Bowl Commercial | The Hyundai Genesis.” This commercial is pathos because it makes parents or car owners feel safer about letting other people use their car. This product is unique in being that no other car company or car for that instance has been modified to this high use of technology. It makes them feel better about people using their car by showing them that they can get this app that tracks your car so you know exactly where your car is at all times. Parents and car owners will feel safe knowing where their car is and that their teenage children are safe because they can not lie about where they are at due the app that tracks the car. This commercial uses the widely known comedian …show more content…
With this car the father knows that he can track every move that they make, but his daughter and her date do not. This is why the father is so willing to lend the car to the young man for their date. With him tracking the car it is just like him being right there with them. So the father can follow everywhere they go to make sure they are not doing whatever fathers dread their daughters doing. The father scares the date by popping up anytime he tries to make a move. In the video he pops up when the young man tries to put his arm around his daughter during the movie, when the young man wins his daughter a stuffed animal and tries to hug her, and finally when the young man tries to kiss his daughter looking over the city. Finally the young man has had enough and just decides to take his daughter home. Only the date could see the father popping up everywhere, which stopped him from making all the moves he was planning on making. With the date acting strange this made the daughter feel like the date was uninterested. When they arrive to her house, the dad acts super surprised, that they were home early. Even though he knew that they were going to arrive early because of the tracking app. Then the father has even more sarcasm when the daughter was walking angrily through the front door and asks what they did for the date, even though he knows exactly what they

Advertisements against distracted driving, especially when the distractions are centered around technology, have been played for years on every type of media: television, radio, print, the Internet, everywhere media is influential. One would think that consumers would get the idea; don’t drive distracted. Advertisements have reworded this simple phrase into every ad you can think of, yet few ads profoundly affect the average driver. A certain ad campaign by Volkswagen in July 2013 is among the few. Using pathos and relatability, the simplistic design of the advertisements has a conventional understanding of the implications of operating a vehicle while distracted.…

Advertisements can be found all over the city no matter where you look. They can be presented by television commercials, print ads on billboards, Internet websites, and even the radio. The reasoning behind these ads is to persuade and argue why their product is more important than others. Sometimes these arguments can be used to persuade certain ideas that people think are right or wrong, and cause an argument socially, politically, or even religiously. Imagine this, it’s 1 a.m. and rearing to the end of the night with you and your friends.…

Most people do not see the danger of doing this because they have never been personally affected by the consequences of texting and driving. First he shows up at the movie theater his daughter and her date are at, something that many people with overbearing parents can connect to. However, after that first seemingly normal attempt at keeping an eye on his daughter, he shows up behind a way of toys at a carnival. And even more surprising still is when he shows up in a helicopter (a helicopter with shark teeth painted on it nevertheless) when the date moves to a typical “make-out spot”. Another subtle surprise is the music choice with Another One Bites the Dust, playing in the background throughout the commercial. This is a surprising pick for a commercial about a date, but ties in nicely with Kevin Hart’s general playfulness throughout the…
