To put everything bluntly, they have denounced women to the lowest role she can have: someone in the kitchen or a play thing in the bedroom, serving her man hand and foot. That is not a marriage, that is an escort service. Aside from their appalling sexist take on why feminism is bad, they actually do make a point. There are some occasions in which the feminist inside every woman should be toned down and it should be at home. As women, we shouldn’t be so guarded with our significant other. But, if misogyny is in play then it will only raise the defenses higher. This is not the 50s and 60s; this is 2015 and the chauvinist opinions must stop. When does the injustice end and where does the equal treatment begin? As of 2013, only 9.6% of countries have close to complete gender equality. 9.6%. The United States is not apart of this percentage; however who is a part of this percent are the “developing countries” (Marcotte) that we oh so need to help.
