The song “every body wants to rule the world“, written by band Tears of Fears, came out on march the 2nd 1985. The original Idea for this song came from the bands guitarist Roland Orzabal playing two cords and saying “everybody wants to rule the world“ after they had just finished recording their latest album during that time; Songs from the Big Chair. Two weeks after Roland Orzabal came up with the title the song was alredy finished.
For my essential question in ths analasys I chose to aske „what makes us get out oft he bead every morning and keeps us alive?“ as I think that the song „everybody wants to rule the world“ gives us a goog answer to it.
The first vers oft he song …show more content…
The person says that he can´t bare it not beeing able to decide things. Probably he played by the rules all the time wich are mentioned in the frst verse wich probably made him marry someone without him knowing what he realy wants. By hearing what he says he seems to want to rebell the system oft he cold world he lives in. Then again he ends the verse on the refrein of the song.
The fourth verse is again someone talking this time to someone else telling to never use somthing that was handed to him. Then it goes on with “one headline, why believe it?“ refering tot he title and the refrain of the song “everybody wants to rule the world“ wich is probably the theme under wich everybody should live in the world wich the song describes. Letting us believe that the people in this world are changing and start to refuse the system they live in.
The last verse can be seen as the start of a revolution where people start to fight for freedom and for pleasure wich were not part of their world and system in wich they were born in. They say that nothingever stays the same and change is unavoidable however ending on the same ending as before but this time you can say that the meaning has shanged from every one wants to rule the world as an individual to everyone taking part in the revolution wants to change the world to create a new system wich will rule the world
