In three literary works above talking about the same topic, that is DEATH. The word death in Because I Could Not For Death interprets as positive thing which refers to respect and reverence. It indicates from the word kindly and civility in poem. Dickinson in her poem in the first line of the first stanza states that she could not stop for the death. It means that she has no choice when she will die. Everyone will die but in different times and different ways. Death is not described as frightening, or even intimidating, reaper, but rather a courteous and gentle guide, leading her to eternity. This story represents describes as a speaking, breathing, moving and scary woman. The death described as woman for the fact that women were not portrayed in a positive light for this time period and particular setting of Baghdad, just the same as death is not looked at as something positive.in this story the characters have their own way to face the death. In Appointment in Samara, death represents as threatening and frightening woman. While in Death, Be Not Proud, death represents as person which not should be proud because the speaker is not afraid of him. And they have different attitude to death. In Because I Could Not Stop for Deat, the speaker feels so calm when meet with death. In Appointment in Samara, the servant feels so scared until he runs away, but the master is so brave and decides to look for death. While in Death, Be Not Proud, the speaker mocks death and asks him not to be proud because the speaker is not scared of him and thinks that death is pleasant experience.
