Glancing around my bedroom, I observe clean floors and homework assignments sprawled out on the table as my jumbled written thoughts are on the brink of being thrown away. So why harp on the woman for wanting to get together with friends for dinner when all the man wants to do is watch the big game. Barry mentions this situation happening to him and his wife when there was a World Series game going on (Barry 221), they were invited to a social gathering and the husband’s of the couples wanted to watch the game instead of talk, so they left the room to let the women talk amongst themselves because they were hindering them from enjoying the game.
