He then only warns Dante that to reach heaven they must go through a place of enternal torture. Minos looks upon Dante and notices hes a living soul and warns him not to proceed but with Virgils words they both are good to proceed past Minos. Dante calls for a soul to come and speak to him about their story so he calls for a woman named francesca, Francesca recognizes Dante as a living soul and explains her story. She married a old and deformed old man and soon fell in love with her husbands younger brother named Paolo da Rimini she explaind how eventually they kissed and her husband discovered Francesca’s dishonest behavior and he had them killed and sent for eternity to the second circle of hell.
