According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, desire is a “conscious impulse toward something that promises enjoyment or satisfaction in its attainment.” Whether what we want is bad or good, we are constantly attracted to being in a state of satisfaction. There are times where we struggle with making the right moral decisions because we know in the back of our minds that it is wrong. We get a satisfactory sensation when we get our hands on our strongest desire and we much prefer to feel happy rather than neglection. Bryan Spinks mentions this sensation in the perspective of a church. Those who are religious choose to be religious because they have a strong desire to believe in God. Those who believe have moments where they must make decisions that will defy their religious beliefs. Desire is all part of human nature and inevitable. Spinks claims the Church to be a marketplace fulfilling the desire, a good society, and mainly worship. …show more content…

These wants or desires we have can be seen as being selfish by other people, it actually could be the opposite. Dr. Neal Deroo said that “Some things are so much a part of us and our environment that we don’t even realize it’s there”, there are times where there are things that you want and you haven’t prayed for it yet not know that God is part of our everyday life and we should make it a challenge to always add God…
