Analysis Of Child Poverty

In the beginning of the video, it showed kids talking about their struggles in their life. It was a family that became poor and have a hard time paying for basic living needs. The sink in their house broke and they can’t even pay for it. The dad got laid off his work and now has no job to work at. They don't even have warm showers. Something that we take for granted. They go through a lot of troubles. The dad tries to apply at several different jobs. It is very upsetting seeing two innocent children living a tough life. There was s ign in the video that said “More than 46 million Americans live below the poverty line.” What a depressing fact. There was a family from Stockton, Iowa. The daughter of the family described how sometimes she’d feel like she’s starving. Sometimes they would have cereal but no milk. The really concerning part was when the innocent little girl says that she goes around the whole town look for empty bottle so she can get some money. A little girl should never be forced to work like this. My reaction to this is that I’m upset. The fact that children go through starvation and having to work just to grab some loose change doesn’t sit well with me. And it should not sit well with the government …show more content…
We all that. And a child should never have to suffer like the people in these videos. I’m not sure how “developed” a country is if the child poverty rate is high. “Today 1 in 5 children lives in poverty,” another sign said. Another sad part of child poverty are their parents suffering as well. One mm in the video is the only one paying for all the bills. She said she makes around 1,400 dollars but all the bills together are like 1,300 combined. In the video, she cries when she talks about how she is suffering from depression. Even her son is forced to mow down lawns to get money. He says he gets 10 bucks and uses 6 of it for gas. The rest goes to his mother to buy food and
