The guitarist, who was also the lead singer, employed a pedalboard. However, the drummer and bassist seemed to use no extra effects. The audience was significantly more energetic, singing along to the songs and banging their heads to the music. This was my first time hearing Cayetana, let alone a female punk group. To say the least, I was blown away by the quality of their music and their stage presence. Like Chastity, they talked to the audience between songs and made comments about equality, diversity, and acceptance. Immediately, the crowd’s vitality strengthened greatly. Both the lead guitarist and rhythm guitarist (who is also the lead vocalist) used a pedalboard, but once again the bassist and drummer had no added effects. While the band was not playing music, they talked with the crowd and promoted social equality and justice. Each song was accompanied by an abundance of vigorous moshing and crowd surfing. Audience members climbed on to the barrier and jumped off backward to be caught and held up by their energetic comrades. While the act of moshing itself is rather violent, the community was caring about each other while doing it. If someone fell, they would be helped up. If someone was getting too rough, someone would calmly let them know to be more gentle. There was a group of people standing to the side against the wall to avoid the moshing, but they were still being bumped into. To solve this, myself and two other guys stood between those who were moshing and those standing at the wall.
During the process of being a human barrier, my leg was slightly injured and I was left walking with a limp. While I was walking to my dorm, one of the people I met at the concert saw me limping and offered me a ride to my dorm, and I took him up on the offer. To most people, offering a ride to a person who is limping is seen as an act of decency. However, I view his kind deed as a symbolic representation of the
