“Temporary Home” by Carrie Underwood is the perfect song to compare to the My Favorite Word essay. In this song she sings about a few storylines. There about people who are living in houses, not homes. This is a major topic throughout my paper. There are connotations with the word house. It feels cold and focuses on the structure. A home is inviting and full of loved ones. This song represents that idea, which is why I chose it. When I handed in my essay for peer response I did not have a conclusion yet. I sometimes find writing introductions and conclusions to be difficult. I eventually pulled through and created my conclusion. Also, there were many times my writing came across as too preachy.
