Introduction
The Mindset theory, developed by Carol Dweck, focus on how one is learns. There are two mindsets contained in this theory, Growth mindset and Fixed mindset. The concept of a growth mindset is believing that one can develop one’s own intelligence by enhancing with effort and the pursuit of new knowledge to improve performance (Dweck, 2006). These students tend to succeed by embracing challenges and persevering in the face of setbacks. People with a fixed mindset believe that each person has a set amount of intelligence, and judge effort as the disappointing sign that one is not good, leading them to often self- handicapped and feel threatened by the success of others (Dweck, 2006).
In addition, a growth mindset is an attitude that leads one to believe that intelligence and skills are something that can be developed, which can be trained as a muscle effort in education, in opposition, to this mental lid is the main “mentality”.
