In the novel Bless Me, Ultima, by Rudolfo Anaya, the main character Antonio who is an young hispanic catholic struggling to find himself goes through many hardships, losses, confusion, and overall just the difficulties of growing up which are common and universal. All of these certain demeanors affect his maturity and growth.
