The city tour company Bike & Bite delivers guided cycle tours in Rotterdam for tourists and business people. Their unique value is to experience the culture of Rotterdam by experimenting and tasting local food. The entire city tour consists of culinary highlights, insight stories and meeting locals. Our research is based on a case study (Bike & Bite visitors) for the reason that guided city tours are related to a specific context (urban cities). By concentrating on a specific case, the findings will be close to the real-life situations and directly in relation to the phenomena in practice (Eisenhardt, 1989; Flyybjerg, 2006). The average age of our sample is 32,5. The sample is not representative for the population, due to the small number of respondents. Therefore, the results of this study cannot be generalised. The percentage of the nationalities between sample and population do not overlap. The Dutch nationality dominates the sample of this study. This is a result of the convenience sampling method. The population of tourists in Rotterdam (Rotterdam partners, 2016) is concentrated on hotel guests, however, in our sample day trippers are also part of the sample. Based on the information above, we can determine that the sample does not fit the population of tourists in
