On the bottom two parts of the triangle are the encourager and inquirer. The inquirer’s responsibility is to ask questions and be searching for God to start to have them break free from their situations. In James 5:14 the Bible says “Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church”, this says and induces that it is the inquirers job to call and ask questions in order to be answered. The role of the encourager is to be there for the inquirer and their role is best stated in 2 Timothy 2:24-26 in the Bible. The encourager has to realize that they don’t have all the answers and have to rely on God and the Holy Spirit to help them. At the top of the triangle is God. God is the one that is most important when overcoming an issue and dealing with sin. God intervening and the Holy Spirit working in both the encourager and the inquirer is the only way to have truly successful time of discipleship making counseling. Anderson’s book will be a great addition to any churches library. This book is important to a churches ministry because before the church can better serve they should make sure that their church body as a whole is healthy. Anderson does a great job in discipling pastors and giving them great ways to help their congregants overcome issues bounding them. Once a church has worked through this book with their congregants they will be better able to serve the community because they will be free from the bondage that holds them down.
