Growing up I always had strict parents, I thought some of their rules were unfair or harsh but looking back now I appreciate how hard they made me work. As the author explained why she raised her kids that way I was able to understand her parenting style more. Whether, her style was strict or not the mother only wanted the best for her children and it sometimes came off the wrong way. At times, I did not know if the mother was too harsh or if it was her way of pushing her children to be successful. I did think the book was interesting and written well for everyone to understand. I liked reading about the different parenting styles and it was good to see how did parents raise their children and then how the child grows up. After reading this novel, I realized that no one is a perfect parent or a perfect child. With today’s society everyone seems that their parenting style is the right way to raise a child but there will never be a right way to raise a child. I did learn a lot about the different ways to raise a child and it was interesting learning about a style that is not very common in America. I do agree with the tiger mother and I think the world needs more tiger
