The article "Attention to Whole Foods Buyers" by Robert Paarlberg is an article on how organic food is not as "good" for the world as we thought. One of the biggest problems in the world today is hunger among humans around the world. In some countries, it is worse than others because there is not enough food to supply everyone who needs to be fed. While in some countries it is about who can afford the food or even who can get to where the food is because some foods are not in a place where they can go as often as they need to eat.…

Kevin Kelly’s article starts off by talking about how automation slowly replaced half the work force during the industrial revolution. He mentions that those who during that time period were replaced did not sit idle but found and created new jobs for themselves and others. Mr. Kelly uses this idea of the work force being replaced by steadily improving automation, yet the replaced work force creates new jobs instead of sitting idle, to propel his idea of people being replaced by machines as a positive thing. Mr. Kelly talks about how robots already do the work that humans are incapable of doing, such as working in hazardous locations doing hard labor. Thankfully Mr. Kelly points out that robots will slowly take over white collar jobs, do…

Autonomous robots are not a sufficient replacement for human labourers due to the fact that they are not trained to react to situations that have not been programmed into them. This is seen in Brian Stableford’s The Highway Code, in which Tom Haste fails to react properly to a situation he had not experienced before: “he had a pretty good idea what must be happening—but hadn’t the faintest idea what to do about it, or whether there was anything at all that he could do.” (Stableford, 44). When robots are used to complete tasks that humans were trained for, this causes a high unemployment rate. The doctors, engineers and other skilled workers will all be replaced by these robots, leading them to become unemployed.…

In the past years, companies are trying to implement the future with robots that can do the work of a cashier; however, i feel that robots are to expensive for a simple job, also this mandate would hurt individuals that need money for there bills. If we talk about how much money would cost a robot/kiosk is the same amount of money that a person earns a year. For example, the companies waste the money making the robot/kiosk you can realize that all that money doesn't help anyone, but if you waste the money in a person that is in college you are helping that individual to pay their college. With this type of technology in stores, people will have less money. For example, my uncle lost his job at Nissan (car agency)…
