The author obviously has an issue with technology, and not Amazon/”Satan.” The fact is, it’s technology that makes shoppers return again and again for practical and very inexpensive deals. Amy Koss, the author said it best, when she states that, “He (Amazon) can show us a picture of a thing- a book, a bauble, a sweater, a vacuum cleaner- and ask three questions:”’Do you want it?...Do you want it cheap?...Do you want it now?”’ The fact that the answer to these questions are a resounding ‘yes’ to Amazon makes it obvious as to why they’re so successful as an e-commerce company. While I disagree with the author, my philosophy is that those who do not adapt to technology do not benefit from its advantages. On Amazon.com, people find different products that would not be found in stores, for a better price, and delivered right to their doorstep, with the click of a button.
