“You had to entertain yourself a whole lot more than kids today do. I always found things to do and was creative when doing so. I think that that has helped me today in not being so dependent on having a screen in front of me at all times.”

“They worked hard. My dad had three jobs most of the time to put food on the table, but it was also a parenting out of fear. We were scared of my parents.”

1.Kelly is in the middle adulthood stage. I used two main points to help me identify this. The first point was the emphasis she made on her health. She understood how important her health was and the different impacts it had on her (Steinberg, Bornstein, Vandell, & Rook, 2011). The second point was when she discussed the stress that she has.
