Analysis Of A Restaurant: Luna Mexican Kitchen

Improved Essays
Wow! This restaurant is great news for foodies like me. I have heard a lot about the restaurant and I was planning to visit it with my family. Before visiting the place, I did a little research to find more details about the place. The restaurant was started by John Lopez and Jo Lerma-Lopez who renovated a vintage building. The building known as “The Alameda” housed a Mexican mainstay for about 60 years.
Luna Mexican Kitchen is the result of two years of menu development and renovation by the Lopezes. The main aim of the restaurant is to offer healthy, tasty, and authentic food. For the tortilla is made by hand using organic corn, Entrees is made using organic chicken, and Heirloom beans used in dishes are from Rancho Gordo, the Napa specialists.

My expectations before participating in this activity was for it to not be as authentic as it was. I did not realize that there was a place downtown that had such real and good food and wondered why I haven’t heard of this place before. Also, I was surprised with the poverty I saw around the area. I have always grown up in areas that have a decent amount of money and have never been to a spanish speaking country or area before. This experience really opened my eyes to the fact that there are places out there that still have authenticity and still try to resist becoming “Americanized” in society.…
