The ability to chose our leaders and practice a democracy is something citizens of other countries only dream of having. Because of this freedom, Americans should always vote during the elections, especially this year’s Presidential election. This election is an especially unique one; the Republican candidate is a businessman with no political experience, while the Democratic candidate is a woman with decades of experience in politics. No matter the outcome, history will be made. The main aspect of this election at stake is the economy and jobs. Politicians are most definitely educated and are charismatic, but this is not the case for Trump. Donald Trump has no idea what the job of being President entails. For being publically known for using the phrase, “You’re Fired!” it is very contradicting of him to promise to the American citizens that he will bring jobs back. Aside from that, he is also identified as being a short-fuse, or someone who gets angry easily. Trump would be the type of person that would get angry if he does not get his way. He said in one of his speeches that, “I know the smartest negotiators in the world. I know the good ones. I know the bad ones” (Trump). America should not trust him on this because if the negotiators that he knows are anything like him, then America is going to be in trouble with foreign

Over the past 40 years, America has experienced a tumultuous economic life. There have been various recessions and a few booms, and all presidential candidates since the 1980s have increasingly relied on the economy as a key part of their policy. The economy has been kind to the few and for the most part, unforgiving towards everyone else. This phenomenon is a result of politicians promising to make the normal American’s financial status better before being elected, then only helping out the corporate interests that funded their campaign after the election. The reason this works is that while the candidates forsake the American people, they do help the corporate interests once they take power, and the corporations make obscene profits which results in the President looking somewhat responsible for the huge increase in revenue which secures his reelection and the interests of the corporations until the next election cycle.…

Donald Trump was an unexpected runner for this year’s presidential election. At first, many people thought his running for the presidency was a joke. Which is unfortunate since much of what he says is far from being presidential, let alone professional. From what I’ve seen of his speeches and debates, he often makes terrible statements about other candidates as well as other groups of people, building off of peoples hate to rally more support.…
