The article, Empowering, Educating, and Advocating: How Social Workers Can Help Churches Integrate End of Life Care into Congregational Life, explains what social workers and churches can do as older people begin to approach the end of their lives. Many times as older people are reaching the end of their lives, they may feel isolated or do not feel connected or supported by their community. It is believed that social workers and the community can support and help empower churches, to become a supportive communities that cares for people during all seasons of life including the end of life.
