Cool People Only Break The Rules Analysis

To be cool or not is everything to a kid growing up. Everyone wants to be liked and no one wants to be an outcast. Everyone wants to have friends and no one wants to be the weird kid. People will do anything to be cool, including breaking rules. I have chosen to write my essay on “Cool People Only Break the Rules, But Only the Right Rules. Are you considered cool? Do you set your own style and hope you are cool enough or do you go extreme and become the outcast? Being cool has a fine line, are you cool or not? When you watch TV, you see actors and think to yourself, that person is really cool. More than likely, this person has a “bad boy” image. Even when you watch a movie with the popular girl, she is seen as evil and downright mean. It is hard to meet her standards. Gangsters are seen as cool and some kids grow up and want to become a gangster. They break the rules and kill people and sell drugs. Some see people who become protestors as cool. They are breaking a rule but using their freedom of speech for something they believe in. Some may find this cool but it all depends on what they are protesting. For example, if they are protesting gay rights, some may not agree with gay marriage or whatever the topic is and be completely against the protest. In my opinion, they may be taken more seriously if they looked normal and toned down all the feathers and other frilly stuff. People do not think this is cool and it doesn’t look like they are being professional. This would be the extreme part that would turn people off and think this is not cool. But, just being a protestor and having a moderate look and having people look at you as though you a regular people and have rights and want your voice heard, you will be thought of as cool more
