I believe that this exercise is the cornerstone for my project #1essay since I will base my analysis of the writer’s overall effectiveness on what I have learned and completed in this assignment. To write the rhetorical analysis in my project #1 essay, I will need to utilize Aristotle’s three appeals in addition to the writer’s purpose and intended audience to be able to evaluate whether his writing is effective or not. I would like to note that when I examined the writer’s logical consistency, I instantly saw how determining the function and purpose of each paragraph in my previous assignment has made me engage into reading critically…

In the conclusion I addressed my original research question of “how do speech and language disorders affect learning and cognitive development in adolescents and adults? To answer this I said that there is no one word answer. I proceeded to address the question by saying, growing up with speech and language disorders has a lot of complex obstacles that people have to move part in order to keep on maturing in their cognitive well being. I added on that it could also lead to other issues in their social and intellectual well being, while battling the daily struggles of being demoted because of their disorder.…

The main skills from my past that I referenced were: my ability to comprehend text, my ability to convey a message through an essay, and my ability to view a text with an open mind. Opening my mind to the text was one of the more challenging abilities that I used. Using this ability allowed me to grasp the meaning of this particularly challenging text and, due to how easily I completed the required length of the paper, I believe that I was fairly successful in my endeavor.…

Text-to-Text relation: I don’t acquire a very solid text- to- text connection to “On the Sidewalk Bleeding”. My reasoning as to why I don’t acquire a solid connection is because the genre of books I regularly read is relatable as not very many of the books I read are from the tragedy category. The text-to-text connection that I did make was when Andy talked about marrying Laura one day, as it brought me back to the “Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins. In this novel, the foil of the “Hunger Games”, Peeta was brutally wounded by his allies, to after which he was found by Katniss, the protagonist. Katniss took Peeta into a cave and aided him as best as she could, to which Peeta confessed his love for Katniss and wished he helped Katniss earlier in their village (district).…
