Parenting is a very important part of a child’s life. Having great parents that a child can look up to can change their perspective on the world immensely. A child needs a support system, someone they can look to at anytime, but they also need someone that can keep them on track. Children do not enjoy being told they did something wrong, but it is essential to becoming a strong, independent adult. Some children start out with an unfortunate life, not every parent cares. It is extremely sad that some parents do not care what happens to their child, whether it is if they are hungry, upset, or even just knowing that they are doing good. Nature is an organism’s biological inheritance, also known as, the qualities a person is born with, like instincts. Nature has been seen as something that is not chosen, a person cannot choose certain parts of their life, they are out of their control. Nurture is an organism’s environmental experiences, also known as, the experiences a person goes through that makes them the person they are, like living in a supportive house would cause a different person, compared to a child that grew up in a nonsupportive house. Nature and nurture both influence the mind and a person’s behavior. Both have an equal impact on how a person becomes. I believe that a person’s personality and temperament is formed though both nature and nurture. Nurture, on the other hand, influences a person’s personality and temperament more than nature in my opinion. I would not be the person I am today without the amazing parents I have. Through parenting I have been influenced by many people, but two people have had the most impact on my life. The people who have had the greatest influence on me would be my mother and father. My mother and I have always been very close, we usually think it is because we are so close in age. She chose to have us when she was 24; so now me and my twin, Ashlyn, are only a little over 20 years apart from our mom. Although our mother is in her forties, she still acts like a teenager. In my life she has taught me practically everything I know. She has taught me how to cook, clean, do laundry, care for people, take care of children, dance, sing, be independent, be social, and so much more. My mother has been a huge influence on my life, but so has my father. My dad, like my mom, had children at a young age, he had me when he was 22. My father has taught me so much about like. He has taught me to be organized and analytical, how to have an amazing work ethic, how to care for others, how to stay motivated, how to golf, how to drive a tractor, and so many other things. My mother and father both have had such a big impact on my life, mainly because I spend so much time with them. If I did not have my parents in my life I would not be the person I am today.
