C’s aunt is very jealous of the attention that the family gives C and her mother. We’ve discussed the dysfunctional relationships between the members of this family. A support system, especially a person’s family, can be very beneficial to all members. Everyone needs support from time to time, and we feel that T is physically drained because of it. As a CCLS we take on a code of ethical responsibilities to provide psychosocial care to infants, children, youth, and families regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, economic status, values, nationality, or disability. To be a quality care provider one must be aware of their personal biases and be able to leave them at the door, thus to not allow these biases or personal beliefs to interfere with the quality of care provided to every patient and family. A major role of a CCLS is to serve as an advocate in the hospital setting and in the transition back to school. As a CCLS we may encounter children and parents in the LGBTQ community.…
The plan of care we would recommend is expanding T and C’s support system. The first intervention we suggest is, for C talk to a college counselor weekly on her campus. the years progress and eating disorders become more prevalent, different sources state their predictions following the mentioned factors above. The DSM in its current edition (5th; 2013) emphasizes a genetic or physiological predisposition whereas the National Institute of Health points to an obsession with food, body weight and shape, and a disruption in thinking patterns and development of compulsive eating (National Institute of Mental Health, 2006) Other references suggest that the development of the disorder is evident through a history of dieting, a previous case of depression or anxiety, or stress from societal pressures that potentially result in overeating behaviors (Thompson & Farrar, 2001). Family and genetic components, such as…
This paper will show the significance of developing an ecogram and genomap for an exceptional family with a unique situation that will identify its relationships and the use of environmental means to keep the family functioning daily. In this family each of the outside sources serves a particular family based need. This flow is shown in the direction of the arrows and how the relationship functions, in this ecogram recommendations will be made to improve communication and increase the positive flow to tense relationships. This ecogram exhibits the results that stress producing events can interrupt a family’s daily function regardless of how strong the family ties are in the family (Kaakinen, Coehlo, Steele, Tabacco, & Harmon Hanson, 2015). The McDowell family consists of a husband, wife, son, and mother in law.…

In order to build better social controls we must revisit a point in history where social controls were strong and take applicable bits and pieces that contributed to the family. In the past marriage and religion was the backbone of the family. There was little to no time for deviance because maintaining your family and attending church took a great deal effort. Every Sunday the nuclear and extend family would gather for church and Sunday dinner.
