Mysteries behind “Escena De Un Asesintato.” (A scene of an assassination) There was once a photographer, who captured amazing snapshots filled with unknown mysteries. Mysteries that express moments of excitement, curiosity and danger. During the ancient times in Mexico there was a lot of storytelling going on. While some where filled with joy others were filled of endangerment. “Escena De Un Asesinato” leaves many people with questions as in what is seen in the picture? what symbolic meaning does the object have? who is el roto and lastly, what strange thing happens after people buy the image? She took it home. It was a day after the opening and Mr. T wanted to make sure the picture still had the same shadow they had both seen at the opening and it wasn’t just an assumption. While visiting her home he realizes her husband is the CEO of Harvest Futures. Their mansion was an exclusive north side suburb and he couldn’t get passed the gate. As he listens to the intercom they say ‘she’s dead’ Norma is dead. How could that be possible? Mr. T asks to speak with Mr. Rivera but they say he’s unavailable. A cop car approaches Mr. T asking who he is and asks him to follow him to the house. As they get to the house it is like a crime scene. They ask Mr. T not to touch anything as they are still examining the scene. The Escena de un Asesinato image is hanging on the wall with bullet holes. Who could have shot the picture and why? Both Norma and her husband were dead there were no other bullets anywhere else. It looks like Mr. Rivera was a native of the Chiapas state. But what did that have to do with anything else? ‘Apparently his father was in the Mexican army during the 1920s and fought against the rebels. (190) Years pass and a cleaner named Emilio Torres dies in his flat, his skull is shattered, though from what investigating officers can’t tell. Torres wasn’t rich and lived alone but he felt compelled to buy a print of Escena de un Asesinato. He bought the print because he limped badly from an injury sustained during the Chiapas uprising of 1994. A few days later Gabriel Moreno, owner of Mexican restaurants is shot in the head in his home, though no bullet could be found at the scene. He was holding the print of Escena de un Asesinato that he’d purchased the previous evening. His wife and son were also found dead in other parts of the house though their bodies had no signs of violence. (190-191) There were many more cases of people dying after purchasing the mysterious
