The main thing that I found to be challenging about my characters was finding the films. Growing up, my family and I never sparked an interest in the Star Wars movies, so we never watched them. Wanting to get a better understanding of what I was reading on starwars.com, I decided to watch the movies. The lowest bundle that I could find and get the instantly was around ninety to a hundred dollars. We first see Anakin in Episode I as a little boy with a lot of ambition. Later we see him in Episode II where his transition to adulthood begins, he feels restricted by his master, falls in love with Padmé and marries her at the end. In Episode III, Anakin is trouble by vision of Padmé dying in childbirth; wanting to do anything to save her life, he becomes his true form as Darth Vader. As Anakin was growing into the coming of age we see that because of his love and anger it lead him down the dark path.
A couple of question that I have about Anakin to get a better grasp of the story since it is new to me would be how I can connect his story on a deeper level of New Historicism? The story deals a lot with politics which is related to new historicism but is there anything else that I am not seeing? Another question that I have is if Anakin, A.K.A Darth Vader, was the chosen one only because they saw that something in him would bring back the balance in the force but only it wouldn’t be Anakin, but his offspring?
