I would like to volunteer at a hospital that is successful and a hospital that offers a lot to both their patients and workers. After searching through hospitals, I have came to a conclusion that I would like to volunteer at Anadolu Medical Center. This hospital is located in Kocaeli, Turkey, while it is working with many medical programs around the world. If I could volunteer anywhere in the world, I would volunteer at Anadolu Medical Center. Having volunteers is like a extra pair of hands building a better legacy and future. From experience as a volunteer at hospitals, I could see the joy I bring to the patients. They feel cared after just a casual daily talk, and it actually can have so much influence on them while they are in such an unfortunate case. As a volunteer, we could show we are there for them and it’s not just for money. We could cooperate together and build that nation for building a better life. Since Anadolu’s mission is to improve the quality of life, I believe volunteers would be a great addition to this mission, I would love to volunteer at Anadolu Medical Center to build a better workplace and healthcare.
Although there were many organizations that I could volunteer in, volunteering at Anadolu Medical Center caught my attention and I thought it would be the most beneficial. Volunteering at Anadolu Medical Center is a great opportunity for personal, locational and environmental reasons. How else can we volunteer and have the most effect on

In the past few years, I’ve volunteered with a variety of organizations from National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Key Club. I have also co-founded a Community Outreach Club at high school. Through the Church I’ve assisted with Vacation Bible School and middle school retreats. One of my favorite memories came from volunteering for the first time with National Spanish Honor Society. Choosing to participate in this program was not a difficult decision, since I knew I wanted to continue practicing my Spanish and volunteer in the community at the same time.…

Thus, I enrolled in a volunteering program at Greenwich Hospital in order to not only encounter a doctor’s working environment, but also to serve the patients who are a member of my community in Greenwich. In the hospital my job can range from sorting and arranging hundreds of mails, escorting patients, helping with maintaining hygiene, to sending flowers to the patients. According to my supervisor and the volunteers’ website, there are approximately a total of 700 volunteers who the staff believe to be the unsound heros of the hospital. Due to the number of volunteers, the staff assign us to different sections of the hospital within which assigning to be an escorter is one of my favorite as it allows me to encounter patients and doctors from different departments. Gradually from observation and conversation with many of the doctors in the hospital and some of my father’s friends I perceived the drudgery, the stress, the paper works, the coordination, the management skills that are necessary for surviving in this field after having endured the hardship of medical school.…

My Personal Goal Statement Every day I wake up, I ask myself how I can make a difference. This question has helped shape my personal values and principles and directed my path into the nursing field. Growing up in West Africa and witnessing firsthand the sufferings and impoverishment of the people around me, I developed a sense of compassion and willingness to make a difference and help alleviate their sufferings and put a smile on their faces. Healthcare delivery and poverty are two major underlying factors in the challenges faced in Africa, thus, when I got an opportunity to come into the United States, it was my golden ticket to finally give back to the community and make a difference. This led me into the nursing field; I started out as a Certified Nurse Assistant.…

Although technology is rapidly developing, health care has been improved, and longevity increases more commonly in human evolution, we surely know that lifetime is always a limited three-digit number. It became my childhood dream to become a physician and help patients like me to reduce the suffering and live healthier lives. My experiences serving others have also exposed me to the issues within my community and demonstrated ways I can and have made an impact, which aligns with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine’s commitment to serving the community. I co-founded Heal L.A. at UCLA to aid the homeless population around campus, volunteered in Asian Pacific Health Corps, and served in a research lab to reduce racial disparities in transplant.…
