9:40- Anacely’s was third in line and she stood waiting patiently for her turn to answer the question. She was able to read the vocabulary word correctly and get back in line with her classmates. Anacely’s was given verbal praise for doing a good job by the principal who happen to walk in the room to greet the students. Anacely’s read another vocabulary word correct and received a high five.
9:45- Anacely’s continues to wait her turn, following directions, smiling and moving around a little in line as she waits her turn. She continues to participate and following the instructions as given by the teacher and para, to repeat the sounds of the letters as they practiced. She clapped her hands once, remaining in line.

This percentage places Kayla in the frustration reading level for word accuracy, which is reading 68 words or less correctly and scoring at or below 90%. Kayla substituted words as the majority of her mistakes, she never repeated, reversed, or appealed. Some examples of her substitutions are: sometimes for “Sara”, becomes for “asked”, and explaining for “string”, there were about 20 substitutions in all. These mistakes made the passage difficult for her to understand because when the sentence said, “Mom, do you have some string?”…

She had made the boards setup on the wall so that each student can just run up and connect a puzzle piece, in which case is one letter to help spell the word out, the next student would follow behind, completing another word and eventually they would have the word spelled out.…

People say “it helps them become smarter or helps them on test,” But there is a lack of evidence where it actually supports their claims, that it helps students at all especially at such a young age. with Alfie Khon “The positive effects of homework are largely mythical.”(Khon). It also seems that homework is being forced onto younger students more often than the older ones. I remember getting tons of homework in Elementary school, and not having the time to play outside, the stress, and my parents struggling to help me on problems I didn’t know.…
