Nice post. I think it does get a bit difficult to work with those individual that definitely do not want to be seen as your equal and insist on being recognized as not your equal due to dominance and recognition issues. I looked it up and physician assistants can get doctorate degrees (Reid, 2013). There is some issues with them being addressed as doctor when they themselves have to report and be supervised by a doctor. I work with doctors that insist on being called by their first names and get offended if you call them by doctor. They I find are usually the ones that have the best bedside manner and sit down when talking with the patient to get at more of an eye level with them.
