A Level Economics has helped me improve analytical and evaluative skills. The workload of A Levels has furthered my independent learning and self-awareness. Therefore, I believe that my choice of A Levels has given me the comprehension of the commitment required for university.
My interest in Sociology further developed from my voluntary work local community. Recently, I have gained my v100 award for completing a 100 hours of volunteering such as participating in the National Citizen Service. I worked with a team to create a mural symbolising the charity 'Let's Talk Green Canteen'. This furthered my organisation, communication and teamwork skills. These will be valuable to me because they are needed to work effectively with individuals and groups of people in life.
In addition, working as an Y7 reading buddy allowed me to develop my interpersonal skills and suggest suitable techniques to aid them when they were struggling. This will be beneficial to me because I can recognise the needs of a variety of people. In Y13, I worked in Hotter, a specialist shoe store. This advanced my professionalism in a work environment as well as my time management skills, and built up my personal level of stress
