My First Experience-Personal Narrative

An Important event that I think is important to me would be, when I was a sophomore when did my first initiation. Everytime I think about it gives me chills right down my spine, I can remember every detail and every little thing I saw that I feel like no one would understand. The emotions I felt that day would have been something unwilling, mad, ashamed, amazed, and glad. I could say that end of it all was different feeling I never felt before. I would have to say it was one of the best moments I’ve been through. to tell you how this all began we have to go back, to when we were first told we were doing the initiation. At that moment it was about eight of us, austin, enoch, jesus, ty, james, angel, nettles, and me.
I looked up at our sergeant

then our sargent Mr.jackson gave us a list of what we needed, the thing that came out the most was bring an extra pair of clothes and shoes. that got me thinking about what was gonna go on. later on that week on friday days before the initiation it was supposed to rain on the day we were going to do it. We knew what the sergeant said “ to be ready”. when we all thought earlier that it was going to be easy because we saw the middle schoolers do there 's at school all they had to do was run with bricks in their backpacks. Now we were all …show more content…
All I could think about was how it was gonna be what we were gonna go through... just incase if you 're wondering to set aside I 'm only talking about me not the others because it would be to much to write about.
To continue the story it was the day… It was about to be the toughest night of our lives all that day I all i could think about was would I be sore or paranoid. School ended we all had to meet each other in a classroom. Before we move on, on that list earlier it said that police and or paramedics would be on sight. I’ll let that sink in for a little bit. before we started the sergeant told us that he had his fraternity ( freemasons) brothers and brothers in arms. All I know is all eight of us were scared, what I felt was regret for staying. It started we were forced to drink at least two water bottles, he told the us “ you have to be hydrated before we start”, while he was laughing. we had to wear to wear gloves and beanie. An hour before we were hazed we had to paint our nails a bright pink it was horrible!! Two hours after we had to wear a rope that held us together. Our sergeant gave us our first task we had to go gather items in a sour. we needed to find a knife, machete, chains, and other items. we only had one light which the leader had so it was very hard to see we were all separated i was first to come out empty handed. We had played a key role in keeping the enemy at bay when our numbers were falling short. We never took credit for what happened that day, but at the end of it, we all sat around and talked about how we just went through some crazy stuff together. It may seem odd but it was fun. It is what we train day and night to do… to be able to be experts in our weapon systems and to engage and close with the enemy. I have had many other events in my Army career but that was truly some of the worst and best times.…

We got in ready position, and our commander blew a whistle. Being in this war, changed my life completely. We rapidly climbed the ladders onto the fire steps up on the parapet. We started shooting, but I was extremely scared and afraid of getting hurt or dying. We constantly had to go back to the ammunition shelf to reload our guns.…

The rising sun shone hot on the ranks of the Civil Air Patrol cadet and staff members of the Ohio Wing 2017 Encampment. Though the sticky July morning foreboded a sweltering and humid day, my heart beat rapidly with excitement as we saluted the rising American Flag. As Echo Flight Sergeant, I was directly in charge of the training and accountability of thirteen “basic” cadets. The cadet command staff interviewed and selected all other staff members in January.…

The Untraditional American Dream “Hallo, danke, bitte,” (hello, please, thank you) are just a few words that Jim Crawford (the author’s father) had to learn when he was deployed to an American Army base in Germany, Neureut Kaserne, in 1986. During this time, the Cold War was beginning to end. The Cold War was started to help protect Iran from the Soviet Union, aka communism. The American people and their leaders desired to help spread democracy; they viewed communism as a threat.…

During my second clinical appointment I arrived at the interview feeling a little less anxious than I did when I met my client for the first time. I had spent the week reflecting on our interview and conversation and the positive feelings and assumptions I left the first clinical with. I learned during our pre-conference that having assumptions can be positive as long as you keep an open mind. Throughout the second clinical I realized some of what I had assumed and felt about her and her life was fairly accurate. I got the feeling from the manner she portrayed initially, that she had been married and had several children; whom she stayed home to raise.…

3 Days Minus 2 I woke up to a loud, metal sliding noise and quickly came to my senses. At first I thought “Where the hell am I?”, but then it all came together. I looked around the room to see 12 people either disoriented or still asleep. The lady in the uniform called out “Jude, lets go”. I got to my feet and that’s when I first noticed I felt like I was about to puke.…

That one particular morning, the sun shined incredibly bright and the sky was clear of clouds. There was the slightest breeze that made the extreme heat just a little bit more tolerable. All the commander and lieutenants and the people that worked for them were gathered in the commons of the Rock Island Arsenal that my father was about to take command of. My dad was dressed in his white dress uniform that displayed all his medals and ribbons on the left side of his chest. The dress I wore had yellow flowers scattered around and my hair was curled against my liking.…

I didn’t not know what I was expecting. On the first day of high school, I stepped into a crowd of students, waiting to enter the building that would become my second home for the next four years. I didn’ not know where I would stand among these highly accomplished individuals, or if I would even amount to the standards set before me. Self-doubt began to fester inside of me as soon as I stepped through the front doors. I expected less and less of myself as time went on.…
