Personal Essay: My True Friend Is My Best Friend

Improved Essays
I took me five years to realize what an extraordinary influence he has been in my life. When I felt like disappearing, seeing him made me want me to be found. He is my best friend. Growing up with him has made me the person I am today. He is the most hilariously awkward handsome man I have ever had the honor of meeting.
At first sight, you would say that his clothes are classy and formal. However; if you knew him as well as I do, you would notice that he dresses up in all types of clothes. All his clothes are different, and I like them, down to those torn up chucks that he always wears. My best friend is 18 years old. He is ridiculously short for his age, which is fine for me because I 'm practically a dwarf. He has beautiful dark brown

A true friend is someone that sticks with you through thick and thin. No matter how dark my life got, I could always count on him to be by my side. I was a fool growing up. Time after time, my so called friends would show me their true colors. Yet, I still wanted to believe they were sorry for the pain that they had caused me. I didn’t know what a true friend was until I met him. Having a heart as big as his, lead him to believe that everyone was trustworthy. He has a history of trusting the wrong people. Even though he may hold resentment towards those who have done him wrong, I have never known him to be a backstabber. He doesn 't believe in vengeance. I’ve never known him to hold a grudge. He is the most loyal friend I have ever had. Whenever I have a secret to spill, I know that I can count on him to keep it.
I don 't think that I will ever meet anyone that could compare to him. I could meet all sorts of people, but no matter who they are or what they say, they can 't capture my attention quite like he can. People always say that you 're first love is the person that you compare everyone to, but they 've got it wrong. The person you compare everyone to isn 't you 're first love, but you 're true love. You 're soul mate. You 're best friend. I could never replace

He never fails to put a smile on my face. He has and insanely contagious laugh. Its explosive at first. Really loud, but when he realizes how loud it was, he shrinks down in embarrassment. Its hilarious to watch. I swear, the guy never stops laughing. Whenever I eat with him, he is talking and laughing the entire time. I have no idea how he can eat and talk simultaneously. Since I 've spent so much time with him, I 've come to realize that the way he acts and moves is an important part of his personality. He tends to walk really fast when he 's mad or sad. Almost as if he 's trying to outrun his problems. When he speaks, his expressions are the thing that you notice the most. He always frowns when he is in doubt, worried, sad or angry. He’ll stare at the ground and a little crease will form between his eyebrows. He’ll put his headphones on full blast and walk. When he’s nervous or embarrassed, he brings his shoulders forward and shrinks down almost as if he is trying to hide. He is the most awkward person I have ever met. I love every part of
