Theoretical Knowledge As far as I had applied the theoretical knowledge as a part of guidance throughout the time of my internship. I had found that the knowledge from some subjects that I had learnt in classes helped me out a lot while some others did not. Below are some examples of situations when I used the theoretical knowledge to apply to the real workplace situations, along with some explanations and reasons that I could not be able to apply knowledge of some subjects during the time of my internship.
Example 1: The field of my internship was in Food and Beverage Department, in Coffee Beans, whenever I had to initiate any new drinks I must consider about the price and quantity, concern about the percentage of profit, think about …show more content…
Even though, I studied French in the last semester but I did not get many chances to use it. So, when I had time I went to the library to borrow some books that could help me to improve my French language. However, to be honest, it was not so effective. It would be the same case with Room Division and Spa Management, as my position was Food and Beverage Trainee. So, I only got to work in my field. I did not have any chances to apply the knowledge of this subject in my internship.
Example 3:
During my study of Banquet Management, I was participating in Logistics Department. Moreover, I was helping some other departments as well. Teamwork was the first thing that came to my mind when we were organising the event. Once I started my internship, on the first week itself, my colleagues and I helped the school to decorate Grand Hall for the graduation evening party. Even more, one week after that, we were helping each other to arrange another event which was the welcome dinner for all new students. At the end of the semester, we also arranged another event called “White Sensation” to thank both students and staffs for all the hard work throughout the
