Introduction
The following will bring a glimpse into my personal branding journey. It is more information than the average student, but what is age today in respects to a college student? This will include an indirect and direct view in how the brands were introduced, in my lifetime and how it carried into a new generation. Our textbook provided a viewpoint in regards to when one has reached “Resonance” by stating; “When you achieve Resonance your external message connects with internal values and feelings. It connects to consumer’s emotional sweet spot. When viewing the following, you will see how it has molded my ideas, thoughts, and how “the now” has changed position on brands and products. Age 0-5 - Gerber Baby Food
1. Then: Gerber baby food provided nourishment for my little self; it had more meaning to my mother than it did to me. Gerber has been around for generations feeding children and providing good nutritious food. “In 1867, Henri Nestlé, a pharmacist, was asked to look in on a neighbor’s child who couldn’t breastfeed. The baby thrived on the special mixture Henri created. 2. Now: Gerber is still a name that I trust. It the product that I fed my kids. As noted above, Gerber Baby Food has been a trusted product for generations and has grown with the families it has a connection too. Ages 0-5 - Johnson & Johnson Baby …show more content…
Now: The feeling really has not changed. We are still loyal to John Deere, which you will see in our barns. This brand is a large part of me and my family.
Age 25-30 - Gerber Baby Food
1. Then: I grew up on this brand and I continued by feeding Gerber baby food to my kids. Gerber still creates a great product and continues to gain momentum. Note that we again, have an emotional connection that has incorporated values of a goof brand.
2. Now: I still have baby jars, empty ones, that are very useful to stock away small items like buttons. Gerber has changed with the times and I do not believe you can get the glass jars anymore. I have seen improved packaging that is disposable, because, you can only keep so many glass baby jars.
Ages 25-30 - Gymboree – Children’s Clothing
1. Then: When this clothing store opened its doors, it was an exciting moment to purchase cute clothing for my little boy. It was the start of a new fashion trend for little ones. I had too much fun looking at all the options it provided. It wasn’t the same old boring and uncomfortable items.
2. Now: I no longer need this product as my children are now young adults, but when the day arrives and I become a grandparent, there is a good chance I will be heading to
