Brian Contradictions In Genesis 1-22

I asked Brian to show me a few examples he was referring to and he pointed out how in Genesis 1:24, the Bible states that animals were created before man was created, however, in Genesis 2:7 man was created before animals. He points to another example in Genesis 1:26 about how man and woman were created at the same time, while Genesis 2:7, 21-22 states that man was created first, and woman was created later. It’s minor inconsistencies such as these that made Brian question his faith. He stated, “if God is the only perfect thing that exists, then how could their be inconsistencies in His word since the Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit.” Brian does not know that for certain however. Does my grandfather just automatically go to heaven? Brian stated. Brian said, “You see, these are the kinds of things that confuse me and pull me away.” It is these kinds of unanswered questions that Brian has been struggling with for quite some time now. Brian is currently 23 years old. About 4 years ago, Brian decided that Christianity was no longer his guideline on how to live life. To him, Christianity was a bunch of unanswered questions, waiting to be answered and the only way one could obtain answers was to get to heaven, but in fact, in Brian’s view, there was no heaven. According to Brian, heaven was not real. Brian does not believe in life after death. It simply does not make sense to him. When death comes, Brian will not be afraid of it because he says that dying is a natural thing and everyone eventually passes on, it is just a matter of how and when that will occur. I asked Brian, “Why is it that you do not believe there is a God?” Brian replied, that no proof exists to validate it.
