This story of Anne frank starts of in Germany in a Secret Annex. At this time period Hitler was ruling all of the western territories of Europe. Many of the Jewish people were getting persecuted and killed because of their beliefs and there looks. Hitler wanted a breed of people that he thought would be perfect and would help his nation. But in doing this he also killed off many people that believed in a religion that he did not believe in. While reading the first part of the book while they are just settling in the Annex I felt sorrowful for them because they went from being able to see their friends and being able to be free, and then they transfer to a isolated place where you have to make close to no sound and have little space. I was also feeling confused why they had to live in the Annex and could they have just left the country and went somewhere where they wouldn’t die. When all the family’s started yelling at eachother and being mean to everybody, I started to feel mad. I felt this way because they should be bonding not yelling and making everyone mad because there is a huge situation going on outside, co they should be thankful for not being caught. In the end of the story when I found out that everyone died except Mr. Frank the father, I was very sad. The whole time Anne was being yelled at and the only person that Anne would go to when she was mad or depressed was her dad. I also think that Mr. Frank would be very sad because his wife died and the whole group that he was with died, and if you were the only one alive while everyone else was dead you would have a strong mental pull. In conclusion the story about Anne Frank’s struggle as a Jew had many influences on me and how grateful I should be that I go to a christian school and be able to speak freely of my
