Napoleon is an effective leader as he has the brains to be productive and get things done. Squealer, one of Napoleon's chief assistants, tells the animals, "We pigs are the brainworkers. The whole management and organization of the farm depends on us" (36). Napoleon and the other pigs are the ones who know how to organize the farm. Without Napoleon, the animals would not know or accomplish anything. The narrator explains, "... the building began, under the superintendence of the pigs" (61). Boxer shows his respect and adoration to him through his words. He is willing to accept Napoleon's proposal simply because he he trusts and believes in him.
