The Importance Of Digital Marketing Videos

Improved Essays
If you are (and I hope you are) an avid reader of all my posts, you know that my focus is on helping small businesses connect the digital marketing dots. Today 's post is no different other than the topic, which is videos.

Many of you are probably saying, "Ummm Suzan, remember I 'm a small business. I don 't have the funds or expertise to produce videos."

I never said you had to have money or expertise. I also, have never led you down the wrong path and I never will. Believe me, when I say adding videos to your marketing mix is yet another way to compete against the big boys.

Here 's a video I produced with no money and no videography experience. It 's my way of walking the talk. Enjoy, but be sure to come back for the rest of the post.

How Much Will It Cost Me To Create A Video?

Creating a video is cheap to implement, not to mention easy to distribute. The cost can vary from nothing other than your time to thousands of dollars. I 'm not against those professionally made videos, but if you are just starting out a free application like the one I used in my above video or your iPhone can be sufficient.

Many Sundance nominated movies, like the one below, were shot on an iPhone.

Being so concentrated on documenting a moment does not allow you to savor it as much as you should. At school I participate in the Student Talent Under No Teacher Supervision also known as, STUNTS. It was opening of STUNTS and before every show there is a tradition where the whole cast and crew, which adds up to about 150 people, gets in a clump and jumps up and down as we chant a cheer. About half of the people there took out their phones to get it on video to upload it onto their snapchat story. Snapchat is an app in which you take pictures and videos to send to friends and a story is so everyone on your friends list.…

For this decision case about Pepsi Canada ’s Refresh Project, the writer will use the “State-and-prove model” for execution as according to Ellet (2009), it is necessary for the audience to have an immediate and clear appreciation of the writer’s position. Further, with this model the writer has instant knowledge of what needs to be proven (p.137). After the presentation of the position statement, the paper explores the decision options available to Pepsi marketing preceding the project (Ellet, 2009, p.135). Then the criterions for the options will be looked at; the next task is to persuade the audience as to why the selected decision is best for the company (Ellet, 2009, p.135). The last item is to demonstrate the action plan as effectively as possible (Ellet, 2009, p.135).…

The video I chose was based on etiquette in the deaf culture. The video, Deaf Culture Etiquette, taught me a variety of differences between etiquette in the hearing community and the deaf community. One of the most important differences between the two communities I learned after watching the video, Deaf Culture Etiquette, was how people in the deaf community get each other’s attention. Rather than relying on sound and the ability for others to hear them, a deaf person trying to get someone’s attention would tap them, wave at them, or stomp. Furthermore, another important difference between the hear community and the deaf community is how they both interact with new people.…

The argument the author, Alan Finder, is making on the topic of social media can be very controversial and broad. I disagree with the idea of students being fully judged by their social media accounts. Social media sites have created a virtual platform where people can express their true feelings, acknowledge the cool things they do, and post pictures of themselves or other things that help build their self-esteem. It can be considered a fun space for people of older age that has a useful blocking button to filter negativity. I tend to use only two social media sites consisting of Snapchat and Twitter where I post the cool things I’m doing or expressing my thoughts at the time to the people that follow me.…

While reading Dianne’s page and looking at the question I see that there is a lot to learn when it comes to storytelling. You don’t just plot it right away, there’s a step to take; main one is to brainstorm your ideas before going to the next step. Here is the outline of what she gave, “Identifying the conflict, learning about the characters, considering the setting, and deciding on the form of a story”. (Rees, 2010). Reading further to where she talks about the effectiveness of the training, which inquires, “rising action, climax, resolution”.…

Terror Management Theory and Self-Esteem: Effects on Psychopathology Terror Management Theory The terror management theory posits that people build character and culture to shield themselves from the potential for anxiety caused by the awareness of their mortality (Greenberg & Arndt, 2012). Humans fear death, and from that fear, “the urge for immortality becomes an underlying role in human behavior and their social psychology” (Greenberg & Arndt, 2012, p. 401). There are two notable features that humans have that yield to mortal terror: first, being a high degree of self-awareness and second, being the capacity to think in terms of past, present, and future (Greenberg & Arndt, 2012; Schimel, Landau & Hayes, 2008). Because of this capacity,…

When I was in level five at Mrs.Jewele’s class we were learning about something that led us into “The Triangular Trade Route” topic. It was interesting for me because it was like almost a big part of the american history to import stuff in three different countries in the world. From Europe to Africa to the Americas then back to Europe then the whole system starts again starting from Europe. So as I was selecting a topic to research for NHD, I remembered about what we learned in level five. I really liked this topic because I thought if it weren't for this role how could the Americas and Europeans get rich by getting stuff in three other countries.…
