An Argument On What Makes A Good Athlete's Failure?

Decent Essays
My argument will be that are coaches reasonable for 50% of the athletes successes. In my case I think the coaches are are responsible for 50% of the athletes. I think they are and if that athlete fails that means the coach is still part of why that athlete failed. The same thing goes if that athlete success the coach is still a reason why the athlete succeeded. if you have a bad athlete with a good coach that coach can help a shape that bad athlete into a good athlete. For example if i have a kid named johnny that has never played basketball and wants to play this year and the coach is a great coach. johnny will be good, great or better. Now listing comes in part here too if you a good athlete that does not listen to what the coach is saying …show more content…
see like lebron james and his high school coach keith dambrot. Mr.dambrot coach very well to a very good athlete which made Lebron james one of the best players in the NBA. What help Mr.dambrot was that lebron got taught well. Like on the little thing in basketball like footwork or boxing out. another reason why lebron was successful was because of how well Mr.dambrot helped lebron on things in practice and maybe in the mornings at night or even on the weekends.
Another topic I had was that most the time it is on one or the other and most the time it is on the athlet. the reason why i say that is that if you have a coach that is truly terrible and a great athlete. that athlete won’t get any better whatsoever. The reason that is is because that coach didn't help that athlete or that coach didn't coach the skill or the sport right.
That is all of my arguments that I have. The main reason I think the coach is part of athlete successes is because there is no born star athlete they have to be teached. Like stephen curry was one years old shooting nba threes and crossing nba player over. Curry was taught well on shooting the ball and ball handling by his coach that helped him throughout the years that he has played

The purpose of the study is to explore the role that gender plays within the coach-athlete relationship, with the intention to provide valuable knowledge towards the creation of a successful coach-athlete relationship. The quality of the coach-athlete relationship is highly important as it can contribute to an athlete’s motivation, self-esteem and success within the sport (Jowett & Meek, 2000). It has been suggested that the coach-athlete relationship is one of the primary influences on an athlete (Jowett & Poczwardowski, 2007) and can therefore have a significant effect on an athlete’s quality of life (Greenleaf, Gould & Dieffenbach, 2001). We work hard doing the off seasons to be better than the next player. I can honestly say the reason most athletes play the way they do is to win a championship. In as for coaches the reason they coach the way they do is to watch their coaching skills perform on and off the court. Therefore, I want to coach the way I do because athletes are counting on us coaches to do what it takes to win and become intentional about why we coach the way we do. Most importantly our choices will have a lifelong impact on the athletes…
