On June 12 2016 a horrific incident occurred in Orlando, FL which was motivated by Islamic fundamentalism. When the situation was finally neutralized there were 50 dead and 8 injured. The gunman name was Omar Mateen who was American born originally from New Hyde Park, NY. Coincidentally, Mateen, who was killed by officers at the scene was a Muslim who had a job as a security guard in the city of Orlando. Like in most of the terrorist attacks that have happened in recent years there wasn’t any reasons to have expected Matteen to engage in any type of terrorist activity.
