In the country of Panem, there is a place called the Capitol that rules over all other twelve districts. Every year, the Capitol makes each district put forth a girl and a boy aged twelve to eighteen. Those twenty-four kids will have to participate in the Hunger Games. The children are taken into an arena, where they fight each other to death. The one who lives, wins. However, last year they revoked the rule, and Peeta and Katniss were both allowed to win. Peeta and Katniss go back to their home, but at home they learn of the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell happens every twenty-five years, and it puts a special twist in the Hunger Games.
