Ogun Soup
Ingredients:
½ Pound Chopped Boneless Chicken or Ground Beef
1 Large Chopped Onion
1 Chopped Potato
1 Chopped Carrot
½ Cup Chopped Mushrooms
1 Cup Chopped Dandelion Leaves
1 Teaspoon of Annatto
Salt
Directions:
Fry the meat and onion until the meat is slightly browned. Then add the herbs and sauté for a minute or two, adding the water, annatto, potato and carrot. Bring to a boil, and then turn the heat down to low. After about 2 hours of low heat, when it is fully cooked, blend in a food processor.
Serve to Ogun between warm and hot.
