The short story all summer in a day by Ray Bradbury is about jealousy and how it can take over your actions and do things you don't want to do. How is jealousy something that is pretty much mind controlling and doesn't make surton people happy. Some evidence in the text is “Aw , you didn't right that. The boy protested. They also leave margot alone by herself, because they are jealous about her seeing the sun more than them. Also the kids see that she wasn't exposed to as much rain as them and they think she knows better and is a lot better than them and so they show she is a lower power than them.

Margot getting locked in a closet. Like from paragraph 1. It shows they don't believe that she knows what the sun looks like and they also don't believe she knows more than them. So kids had enough of of that and decided they would lock her in a closet while the sun came out. Evidence: “hey lets put her in a closet before teacher comes back”. No margot replies. Margot didn't want to miss out on seeing the sun because it had been 5 years since she had seen the sun since moving to venice. So really Margot didn't deserve all that drama she just wanted to express her love with the sun and she wanted to see the sun.
