An additional character that caused the death of Romeo and Juliet is Friar Laurence. At first, Friar Laurence didn’t believe that Romeo moved on to Juliet while knew she was a Capulet. He secretly married Romeo and Juliet and hoped that the feud of the two families would end. “These violent delights have violent ends.” (2.6.9-10). In this quote it shows that he was scared that their marriage could lead into a misfortune of Romeo and Juliet . If Friar Laurence had talked to their families soon after he married them, Lord Capulet would have understood to why Juliet didn’t want to marry Paris and not force her. Friar Laurence didn’t think twice about his plans.
