Water is dripping from the corner of the tent and people are trying to get warm in the slum. Who wants their family sleeping in these conditions? “Camping for Their Lives” by Scott Bransford points out that the tent city is a good community for homeless people but they need better facilities. He uses appeal to emotion effectively, techniques to persuade the reader and interviews to support his argument, but he does not provide enough information about maintenance the weaker side. Also, he makes suggestions that a tent city is a good community for homeless people but they need better facilities. The main points of the article are that some people could not make enough money to live, and are losing their homes. In addition, some of them come to the United States illegally and they don’t have a place to live. These people make their home on the empty land by using tents and create their own community. Also, the writer explains that government could not afford to build homes for homeless people because the tent cities are getting bigger and worse which is poorer quality environment and lower standard
